2001 – Humble beginnings
After working overseas for Danish shoe brand ECCO, Founder, Byron Dixon returns to the UK to launch Corium Solutions.
Winning formula Byron creates the formula that becomes Micro-Fresh®.
2013 – Growth spurt
After enrolment on the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses scheme, Micro-Fresh® enjoys a period of rapid growth (add stats) 2014 – Retailer reality Micro-Fresh® signs its first major deal to integrate its formula into John Lewis bedding. Since then, Micro-Fresh® has been incorporated into John Lewis nursery products (2015) and bathmats (2017).
2017 – New sector innovation
After success in the retail sector, Micro-Fresh® completes research in partnership with Innovate UK to investigate the formula’s effectiveness to prevent mould in plaster.
2018 – Royal recognition & American dream
Byron is named as an OBE on the New Year’s Honours list, recognising his work in industry and innovation. Micro-Fresh® expands into America, launching the WeFresh brand.
2019 – Further recognition
Byron’s achievement is mirrored by the Micro-Fresh® brand, which is listed as “One to Watch” on the Sunday Times Fast Track 100, and wins International Innovative Enterprise of the Year at the Signature Awards.
2020 – Year of the pandemic
The year started off with a global partnership: Micro-Fresh® in Emirates airlines pillows and blankets. Then our company pivoted during a global pandemic, when Micro-Fresh® was announced officially Anti-Viral and effective against human coronavirus. Click here for more on our Covid-19 response.
