Freshness
Research shows the sportswear market is set to outperform all other retail sectors by 2023. Brands like Gymshark, Lululemon and Sweaty Betty are pricey, but you get what you pay for. With high prices, we expect good quality sportswear that is durable and long-lasting. However, it is no longer just about us, it is about protecting the environment we live in.

Commitment to sustainability

Sustainability drives Micro-Fresh as a company. We want to reduce waste on landfill sites, carbon footprint and global plastic pollution, so “Micro-Fresh and the sports market is a no brainer,” says Byron Dixon, CEO of Micro-Fresh. A coating of our technology will result in highly sustainable sportswear. You can wash it less often, it’s washable on cold temperatures and it will be effective between 50 to 100 washes. This means “we are reducing carbon footprint, reducing energy bills, using less detergent, less water and your garments will last longer,” says Jigna Varu, CCO of Micro-Fresh.

We are filling the gap

Research shows searches for ‘sustainable activewear’ is up 151% compared to 2019. Clearly there is a demand for sustainable sportswear, and we are here to deliver. Let us clarify, Micro-Fresh do not make sportswear! Adding our technology to sportswear will make it more sustainable and keep it fresher for longer. “This will make a huge impact on the sportswear industry and workouts,” says Kavi Lad, personal trainer and owner of K-Fitness. “There are brands out there that fight odour, but your technology lasts longer and it is anti-bacterial, I don’t know of anything like this out there,” he adds.

We are filling this gap in the market. Sustainability, anti-bacterial and sportswear are huge trends right now and Micro-Fresh technology acknowledges them all. We always say you need to see it to believe it, especially with our technology as it is not something you can physically see. All you need to do is imagine your Lululemon or Sweaty Betty infused with Micro-Fresh: good quality, longer lasting and environmentally friendly. We believe in our technology, do you?
