Leading and award-winning invisible technology expert Micro-Fresh® is pleased to announce its Headline Sponsorship of the BFA Footwear50 2022 – a new initiative by the British Footwear Association (BFA).
The BFA Footwear50 2022 in Partnership with Micro-Fresh® will champion and celebrate 50 professionals from across the UK footwear trade whose contributions to the sector have allowed them to stand out from the crowd over the last 12 months.
Nominations will be accepted until Friday, September 30, and those chosen for the debut Footwear50 will be grouped into six categories: Retailers, Manufacturers, Design Independents, Brands, Suppliers & Wholesalers, and Footwear Supporters. The initiative will culminate in the launch of the BFA Footwear5o Guide in December 2022, accompanied by a Christmas networking event.
Byron Dixon OBE, CEO of Micro-Fresh® says: “We are hugely excited to partner with the BFA on this fantastic initiative to recognise the top 50 most inspiring and influential people in the footwear industry. As an innovative business, Micro-Fresh® has always partnered with companies to improve product quality. Led by a renowned footwear specialist, we support the increased focus of the BFA on championing excellence and are delighted to be the Headline Sponsor of the BFA Footwear50 2022.”
Micro-Fresh® has long ties with the footwear sector. Its invisible technology was created to prevent mould growth in footwear that was subject to humid conditions in transit and manufacture in eastern regions, providing leading retailers with protection against odours, bacteria, viruses, and mould growth on their shoes.
For over 15 years, Micro-Fresh® has been supporting the footwear industry through innovative technologies. Now, it supports the network that the BFA has developed and highlights its confidence in the new Footwear50 concept through Headline Sponsorship.
Lucy Reece Raybould, CEO of the BFA, adds: “We can’t think of a better partner for our debut Footwear50 initiative than Micro-Fresh®. We appreciate the business’ spirit of innovation and its roots in the footwear sector. This project aims to shine a spotlight on the diverse individuals who are leading the footwear industry and driving our shared trade into a more prosperous, exciting and sustainable future. Finding a partner who shares these values was vital for the success of this new initiative, and I am thrilled to say we have found the right company in Micro-Fresh®.”
The BFA is a membership organisation that comprises a network of UK-based footwear businesses and relevant approved partner businesses and service providers. Micro-Fresh® is one such BFA Partner, allowing it access to the BFA’s growing list of Members and opportunities for networking and business development.
