The journey began with a eureka moment from CEO, Byron Dixon OBE- With anti-mould chemicals causing thousands of people to suffer burns from new leather sofas, Byron set about providing a safe prevention for fungal growth during the transit of retail goods. This led to a high demand from his innovative safe leather treatment. From this, Byron’s innovative formula soon grew into other sectors such as footwear, and soon the realisation came that it did not have to stop at mould prevention. All this great progress led to an opportunity for Micro-Fresh® to be invented. Micro-Fresh® is an invisible ingredient that provides freshness for the lifetime of the product. This ingredient is applied during the manufacturing process in different product sectors such as, soft furnishings, footwear, bedding, medical scrubs and many more. 15 years later, the innovative formula is a multi-award-winning product and is used by major retailers with manufacture in 44 countries. 
 
Micro-Fresh's heritage and history sits firmly in the footwear sector, providing lasting protection and solutions to leading retail brands including Sainsburys, Clarks, Kickers, Next, F&F, M&S and many more. Micro-Fresh® continues to aim high and expand in this field. With 8 million pairs of footwear being Micro-Fresh'd in the past 2 years, Micro-Fresh® are looking for new opportunities to accelerate this growth.
