Regis Fabrics Ltd: Our fresh new partnership
11th August 2023
We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Regis Fabrics, a leading family-owned textile manufacturer based in the heart of the East Midlands.
Regis Fabrics’ expertise lies in producing fabrics that are durable, stylish, and functional. As a company that places a strong emphasis on eco-friendliness and ethical sourcing, we feel our business values strongly align and we know they are a great fit to our ever-growing list of partners.
Lucy Burr MSc, R&D Textile Technologist at Regis Fabrics, said, “Having the support of the Micro-Fresh® team and ability to add their innovative technologies into our textiles is a real game changer”.
So how will our technology benefit Regis Fabrics and the sectors they cater for?
Activewear
It is extremely common to feel self-conscious at the gym, let alone worrying about how you smell to others. Whether you’re running on the treadmill, doing a HIIT class or lifting weights, intense exercise will usually cause you to sweat. By integrating our formula into their fabrics, Regis Fabrics are guaranteeing their customers an odour-free workout.
Medical & Healthcare
When working with medical & healthcare fabrics, it is essential that these fabrics are not harbouring any nasty bacteria that could potentially harm patients. Our invisible technology works in stages to combat bacteria growth, essentially bonding to and coating various parts of the bacterium to prevent cell division and replication.
Automotive
Working in the Automotive industry comes with a lot of tough labour that can cause you to sweat and be exposed to bacteria. Over time, these smells and stains can engrain themselves into your fabrics, making them near impossible to properly remove. By partnering with Micro-Fresh®, Regis Fabrics are promising their customers a longer lifespan for their workwear.
This new partnership between Micro-Fresh® and Regis Fabrics Ltd brings a new era of innovation in the textile industry. It will allow Regis Fabrics to incorporate Micro-Fresh® antimicrobial technology into their garments during the production process of the fabric, as opposed to an exterior coating afterwards that washes out quite quickly. The result is a range of fabrics that are resistant to bacterial growth, odour, and fungi.
Byron Dixon OBE, Founder and CEO of Micro-Fresh®, said, “This is an exciting time for Micro-Fresh® and we are proud to collaborate with such an innovative partner as Regis Fabrics, together, offering outstanding solutions in hygiene and freshness.”
